Show Update: Collages in the Works
I am still applying for art festivals and fine arts/crafts shows. I will probably start hearing from some organizers next month. I am looking for more indoor fall events. If you know of any in your area, please contact me.
While show season is still a few months off, I am working on a series of collages with windows and red chairs. I finished an 8" x 10" canvas last week. It is in my shop and available for purchase, here. The other canvases, so far, are larger. I have to put the last coat of varnish on a 16" x 20" collage and can list it as well.
I am getting materials together for my second zine, due to be published mid-February. The theme will be "juxtaposition", a word and concept often linked with collage. My intent is to have at least a few new collages to show case in the zine. The first zine is published and available for purchase, here.
In response to some show applications asking if any of my work is made of recycled materials, I am playing around with some cardboard constructions. These are part collage, part assemblage on canvas. I have run into some technical challenges that I still need to resolve, but I like the potential of these works. I expect I will have the bugs worked out by the time shows come around.
Purchase small format artwork, printed greeting cards, zine and ornaments through my gift shop and refrigerator magnet art collages and jewelry through my Etsy shop. Larger collage wall art is available for sale and may be viewed in my Collector's Gallery. Please contact me for purchase information.
