Craft Fair and Art Festivals Update
Here's how this season of craft fairs and art festivals is shaping up:
April 22, 2017 - USM Gorham Craft Fair, Costello Sports Arena, University of Southern Maine Gorham Campus. 10am to 4pm. Free parking. Donations at the door benefit the USM soccer and field hockey teams. This is my first time at this fair, so I am excited to see how it all plays out.
August, 19, 2017 - Winthrop Sidewalk Art Festival, Winthrop, ME. 9am to 3pm. This will be my second time at this festival. The people in this small lake community are warm and inviting. Looking forward to visiting again.
September 2 and 3, 2017 - Mad River Craft Fair, Waitsville, VT. They haven't updated their website, yet, but I believe the fair is 10am to 5pm both days. I'll update this when I have more information. This will be my first time at this fair. I've heard great things about it, so am looking forward to a trek to Vermont over Labor Day.
October 14 and 15, 2017 - UMaine Alumni Craft Fair and Maine Marketplace, UMaine campus, Orono, ME. 10am to 5pm Saturday; 10am to 4pm Sunday. I'll be in booth D-9, the same as last year. It's in the back of the New Balance Arena, so wear comfortable walking shoes! This is a local fair for me, so I look forward to seeing lots of familiar faces, as well as meeting new people who've come to visit for homecoming weekend.
November 11 and 12, 2017 - Maine Harvest Festival, Cross Center, Bangor, ME. 10am to 4pm. This will be my first time at the festival with the collages. It's another local festival for me. It draws a really good crowd for their cooking demonstrations, beer and wine tastings, entertainment, arts and crafts.
I'm waiting to hear back from two more festivals (one in June, one in September). I'm still looking for a craft fair or art festival in May and, possibly, December. If anyone knows of any events that might be a good match for my artwork, please let me know.
