I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who organized and turned out for the USM Gorham Craft Show April 22, 2017. It was a great way to start the craft season.

Each art festival or craft show has its own "flavor", depending on which crafters and artisans are exhibiting, the venue, and the people who attend the show. Much of my larger works sell after the show. It's in a price range that most people have to think about it for a while first. So, I'm always interested to see which of my smaller items will draw the most attention.

For this show, my collaged refrigerator magnets drew the most attention--particularly the people holding lobsters. They are 2" x 3" original collages on canvas with magnets on the back. The technique I use for these is exactly like the larger pieces: hand-stamped paper with acrylics and thread cut into small pieces and adhered to the substrate.

For people looking for smaller artwork, this seems to be a good option, priced at $16 each. I also offer these collage refrigerator magnets with tree and mountain scenes, as well as flowers in vases, listed here.

My next show is the Greater Gardiner River Festival Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 10am to 4pm, so please save the date! More details as the show gets closer.
