Flowers Exhibit at the River Arts Gallery
Usually on Saturdays, I post my Art Week in Review. In lieu of that this week, I am sharing images from the River Arts "Flowers" Exhibition in Damariscotta, Maine. The exhibit opened last night. What fun!
Linda and the volunteers at River Arts did a fantastic job hanging the show, which consists of over 100 pieces: oils, watercolors, pastels; gouache; textile collage; paper collage; and a sculptures.
The show was juried by Marty and Dennis Gleason. Three of my collages were accepted. I feel very humbled and honored by that, since this was my first juried show with the collages.
I encourage people to visit the exhibit, which runs through May 19, 2016. There is a wide variety of "flower art" at the show, from traditional to abstract, and well worth the trip. All the pieces at the show are available for sale.
River Arts is open Tuesday to Saturday (10am to 4pm); and Sunday (10am to 2pm).
