From the Road Vase #1 with Three Flowers
I finished the three flowers yesterday. Here's what they look like in the vase. I'm happy with the results. The Plaster of Paris base for the flowers still needs to cure. Once dry, I will seal it and the vase and flowers will be ready for sale as a unit.
This piece is made with papier mache, hand-stamped paper with acrylics, floral wire, and air dry paper clay. I will put a few coats of varnish on to protect the surface.
This paper sculpture vase and flowers, and hopefully a few more, will be available for the United Church of Underhill Old Fashioned Harvest Market in Underhill, VT on September 24 and 25, 2016 (if not sooner in my shop).
